FAQ

  • Do I need to arrive early for my appointment?
Yes. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.

  • What is your cancellation policy?
To cancel your appointment, please call us at (901)272-7200 at least 24 hours before your appointment time.

  • Will I be able to drive after my appointment?
If you require sedation, you will not be able to drive. Please plan accordingly.

  • Can I call in a prescription request?
It depends. We cannot prescribe new medication over the phone. If you require a refill of long-term medication, give us a call for assistance.

  • How long will I be expected to wait during my appointment?
This will depend on a few factors. We generally plan your appointment to be as efficient as possible. Sometimes, your appointment may be extended to allow for further screening, a complete consultation with the doctor, on immediate diagnosis of a condition.
Appointments may last as little as 30 minutes for follow-up appointments with no concerns or as long as two hours when further testing is required.

  • Why do some patients arrive after me but get called before me?
Two things may affect when you are called for your appointment. Some patients are scheduled to see specific staff members for quick consultations only. These patients are not seeing the same doctors that you are seeing. Other times, patients arrive with severe conditions that must be addressed immediately. Please be considerate of life-threatening medical needs, as it could one day be you requiring immediate attention.

  • Can I schedule a colonic before my colonoscopy?
Yes. You may possibly be encouraged to schedule an onsite colonic to prepare for your colonoscopy procedure. Please discuss with your physician.
